Please find our syllabus for the Munich Feis 2024. We have lots of exciting special competitions plus an extra added special of a school choreography competition to finish off the weekend. Our feis has been granted Open status to help spread the word of Irish dance in our region of Southern Germany.
The venue is in the city centre and is a huge Gymnasium school with excellent facilities. We are planning at the moment to run with 3 stages and 3 judges. Having a third judge will allow some breathing space for dancers, a full panel for the championship and earlier finishes on both days. We urge you to get your dancers' registration into Feisme before the end of May so we can plan better. Thank you for your understanding.
Details on all our new competitions are listed in the syllabus. Dances included in each grade level are reel, light jig, slip jig, single jig, heavy jig, hornpipe, traditional, light and heavy trophy dances, 2h,3h,4h,6h ceilis plus a school choreography piece. Specials are 16 bars, slip jig every level, boys reel every level and treble reels.
We are also running grade exams from 1- 12 (11 and 12 are closed now). These are closed now and will run with 3 examiners. The RCCEA Professional Dance Development committee will be running a teacher/adjudicator training seminar over that weekend with Mary McElroy.SDCRG. An excellent chance for our budding new TCRGs, TMRFs and ADCRGs in training to attend. All of this will be held under one roof in Munich.
Looking forward to welcoming you all back to the heart of Bavaria for our end of season feis,
