Our Irish dance approach

More Than Irish Dance Steps

Irish dance is a living tradition from Ireland: soft shoe and hard shoe, rhythm and precision, solo work and céilí team dancing, with feiseanna and performance along the way.

At Sweeney it is taught step by step, with technique first and graded levels, so every dancer can build real skill with confidence.

Miss Mary is from Ireland. She learned Irish dance there as a child, competed at the Worlds, and danced on the Senior Ladies céilí team that won World Championship titles in the late 1980s. A TCRG, ADCRG, Grade Examiner and past Vice Chair of CLRG, she now brings that expertise to dancers in Landstuhl and the Ramstein area.

Hi, I’m Miss Mary

For more than 30 years, Miss Mary has taught Irish dance across Germany. A TCRG, ADCRG and past Vice Chair of CLRG, she brings World Championship experience to every class.

Traditional technique, taught with patience, encouragement, and a belief that every child can achieve something special.
